The Lord Comes With Ten Thousands Of His Saints

The Divine Readings – Jude 14-25

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.

Lectio Divina Prayer

Gracious Heavenly Father, there is none like you, a God who tells the beginning from the end throughout time, even to the last generation. O God of the prophets, You alone call them forth to speak to the sons of men. You called Your servant Jeremiah saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”  Likewise, You called Enoch, the seventh from Adam — before the great flood of Noah’s day — to prophesy to this last time generation of the ungodly wolves in sheep’s clothing that would lead many souls to eternal destruction. O LORD, so great is the power of these evil false teachers and prophets to tear to pieces the sheep of your vineyard, that only Your glorious appearing with ten thousands of Your saints, to execute judgment will destroy their evil works.

O LORD, You warned us, Your People, about these evil workers in your vineyard saying, ““Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits,” and “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” Thank You O LORD, that through Your prophet Jude, You revealed the fruit of these evil workers saying, “These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage…mockers…sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.”  O LORD, Your Word is Truth, for great are the numbers of clergy, today, that use your sheep as a means to further their own lust for power, notoriety, and their lives are marked by their sexual immorality of every evil kind.

Heavenly Father, even though these days are evil, we Your children have been sealed in the Holy Spirit, sanctified in the Truth, and hedged in by the protection of Your great and precious promises to keep us in Christ Jesus. You have empowered us with Your Spirit to be those who are wise and shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. You have called us in theses dark times to have compassion some and on others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. Truly, O Lord, You want us to be wise and save souls!

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.

Amen.
